Case Study - Abigail

Read how a combination of massage and nutrition has helped Abigail control her blood pressure.

Abigail is 58 and was recently diagnosed with mildly high blood pressure. She was reluctant to go onto medication, so agreed with her GP that she would take 3 months to improve her diet and control her stress to see if this reduced her blood pressure. She had three visits with our nutritional therapist Lisa, and weekly massages with Caroline. Abigail really enjoyed the changes to her diet, eating more fruit and vegetables and adopting a Mediterranean diet. She thoroughly enjoyed her massages, and Caroline took her blood pressure before and after eat session. three month later and Abigail's blood pressure is within the normal range and she has not had to take any medication.

Case Study - Susan

How counselling helped Susan overcome her anxiety and disordered eating.

Susan originally came to see our nutritional therapist Lisa as she was having digestive problems, and had cut out many foods from her diet. She was also taking 10 different nutritional supplements every day. Lisa felt that Susan needed to address her anxiety as well as her diet, and referred her to one of our counsellors, Sandra. Six months later and Susan is a more confident and balanced person, and she is eating a wide range of foods and is no longer depending on nutritional supplements.
